Africans are ‘close’ neighbours too

The distance between Perth and the Congolese capital Kinshasa is 10,752 kms. The distance between Sydney and London is 17,100 kms. So it would not make sense for Australia to be prioritising Iraq or Europe over Congo, based on regional closeness.
